Greg Howe 212 Groove Lick
Here is a Greg Howe style groove lick. The main thing to focus on anything Howe related is GROOVE. Think of a syncopated bebop rhythm when playing this lick. This also utilizes a technique called 212(two, one, two). In a nutshell that means, start with 2 notes on a string, next 1 note on 1 string, then 2 notes on the next etc etc. Guys who like using this are Greg Howe, Tom Quayle and Derryl Gabel. It will make more sense if you look at the tab. But try not to think to much about it. Also, in the tab where there are vibrato notations, apply the Howe Vibrato. Just feel the lick and most importantly..GROOVE! :)
